At this Fall’s EDP CUP, The U14B NJ Stallions Gunners finished with a record of 2-1-1 competing against top 10 state ranked teams from New Jersey, New York East, Pennsylvania East.  With their first 2 wins over #8 ranked Haddonfield SC Blackdogs (NJ) and #11 ranked Downtown Utd SC (NYE), they then played a back and forth match against #5 PAE ranked Lehigh Valley Utd ’99 which propelled them into the Finals vs Yonkers United Golden Touch (#4 NYE State Ranked).  The Final vs Yonkers Utd was a back and forth game with the Gunners having chances throughout the game.  The Gunners finally lost the match 0-2.  Coach Danny Vedder said of his team’s Finalist finish, “My boys are disappointed of course.  They played hard the entire weekend, had opportunities that didn’t go there way, but I’m proud of their efforts.  They’re hungrier now after this one.  We’re looking forward to the rest of our season”
