NJ Stallions Stampede U13G Take Finalist Honors at 8th Annual 2013 PDA Spring Kickoff Tournament!

The NJ Stallions Stampede U13G take Finalist honors at this year’s PDA Spring Kickoff.  The U13 Girls recorded three (3) shutout wins over #1 NJ State Ranked SJ Elite Barons (2-0), #1 Massachussetts state ranked NEFC South Coast Utd (3-0), #3 VA state ranked Beach FC 99G (2-0), eventually meeting #1 VA state ranked ABGC Premier ’99 in the Final.  The Final was a hard fought game that was scoreless by the end of regulation time.  The U13 Girls lost the pk session, leaving the final score at 0-1.  “This is a turning point for the girls.  They were disappointed after our first two events this Spring.  They’ve rebounded, and their spirit is high.  For them to come to this tournament and get into the Final, giving themselves a chance to win they way they did, is great to see.  They went after it this weekend.  They’ll take this experience into the next one”, said Shaun Cryer, NJ Stallions Stampede Head Coach.

NJ Stallions 95/96 Boys & 96/97 Boys Crowned Champions, NJ Stallions 96/97 Girls Are Finalists at MSSL Spring College Showcase!!

Two NJ Stallions Academy Boys teams and one NJ Stallions Academy Girls team made it to the FINALS at the 2013 MSSL Spring College Showcase event held in Hammonton, NJ.  Both boys teams, the NJ Stallions U17 Boys, and the NJ Stallions U16 Boys were crowned Champions after a challenging run competing against top regional and state ranked teams from New York, Long Island, Massachussetts, PA, NJ and CT.  On the girls side, the NJ Stallions U16 Girls team took 2nd place in their division, bringing home the Finalist trophy competing against tough teams from Eastern Pennsylvania.  Marcelo Fracchia, Director of Coaching, for NJ Stallions was very proud of the teams saying, “The players and coaches have been doing a great job early in the Spring.  They’re all improving every week.  Doing well at an MSSL event like this allows their confidence to grow”.

Farr Post Soccer Academy & NJ Stallions Academy Present “College Nite For Girls” Friday, April 5th! Full Details Below:

farrpostNJ Stallions Academy and Farr Post Soccer Academy will co-host “Girls College Nite” Friday, April 5th, from 5:00-7:00pm at Stallions Arena, located at 5 Penobscot St, Clifton, NJ.  Open to the general public, Special Guest, Jonathan Morgan, University of Maryland  Womens Head Coach will begin the evening with a 60 minute training demonstration, followed by a 60 minute Q&A session in which topics will be discussed regarding the “Collegiate Recruiting Process” and how it pertains to young student athletes in their high school years.

Prior to University of Maryland, Jonathan Morgan was Assistant Coach at Ohio State University, and also coached at Rutgers University from 2002-2004.  In addition, Coach Morgan served on the USYSA Region I Staff from 2002-2005.  He has been involved with the ODP programs in Delaware and New Jersey.  During his time with the NJ ODP program he helped coach US Womens National Team players, Heather O’Reilly and Jillian Loyden.

NJ Stallions Dynamite U15G are FINALISTS At This Year’s DALLAS INTERNATIONAL GIRLS CUP!

Fresh off their Championship Win at the 2013 Jefferson Cup, the NJ Stallions Dynamite U15G team traveled to Dallas, Texas to compete in the Dallas International Girls Cup.  After good games with ECNL squads from Texas; a 1-0 win over D’Feeters in game 3, and a 1-0 Quarterfinal win over FC Dallas, the NJ Stallions Dynamite girls came up short in the Final versus D’Feeters, losing 0-2.  Head Coach, Shaun Cryer, said “It’s disappointing to lose to a team who they had beaten earlier in the event.  Sometimes it’s not easy to repeat a victory against the same team, especially in high level events such as this.  It was a great trip.  The girls are having an excellent year so far.”

3 NJ Stallions Boys Teams Are Finalists at the Ironbound Spring Kickoff in Newark, NJ!!

U11StallionsBoysThree (3) NJ Stallions Academy Boys teams made it to the FINALS at this year’s Ironbound Spring Warmup Tournament in Newark, NJ.  The following teams marched through their brackets on their road to the Finals:  NJ Stallions U17 Boys, NJ Stallions U13 Boys, and NJ Stallions U11 Boys.  Marcelo Fracchia, Director of Coaching for NJ Stallions Academy, and Coach of the NJ Stallions U11 Boys, said of the club’s efforts in Newark, “To have three of our boys teams play the way they did, making it to the Finals is very special.  The competition was excellent, and the boys played very well.  Ironbound always puts on a great event each year.  This was a great way for our team and our club to kickoff the Spring”.

NJ Stallions 94/95 Boys Premier I Finalists at Baltimore Mania!!

BaltimoreManiaU18BWebThe NJ Stallions 94/95 Boys traveled to Baltimore for the 2013 Baltimore Mania Tournament competing in four matches notching two (2) shutout victories, one draw, and one loss finishing as Finalists in the to Premier I Division.  The games were highly competitive against top 10 state ranked teams from NYE, PAE, and NJ.  In games 1 and 2, the NJ Stallions scored 4 goals in two shutout wins against Hyde Park Lightning and FC Premier ’94.  Game 3 against Cherry Hill FC Phoenix ’94 was a seesaw match where both sides created chances only to end in a 1-1 draw with the #5 NJ Ranked team.  In the Final, the NJ Stallions boys were unable to convert their chances against the #3 Pennsylvania East ranked team, PA Classics Elite ’94, with the game ending 0-2.  Coach Lauretta said of his team, “They competed hard this weekend.  We had our opportunities in the Final.  The guys are playing great soccer right now, and we’re feeling our season will only get better.”

U15G NJ Stallions Dynamite Are Champions at Jefferson Cup and Now Ranked #1 in the Nation!

JeffCupDynamites2013At the 2013 Jefferson Cup in Glen Allen, Virginia, the U15G NJ Stallions Dynamite were crowned Champions of the Championship Division, recording 3 shutout victories over 4 games against top 20 nationally ranked teams; PWSI Courage ’97, Ponte Vedra SC ’97, and Tampa Bay United ’97 (Final 1-0).  Shaun Cryer, Head Coach for NJ Stallions had this to say, “The girls were on a mission this time around.  They met the challenge and came away with a well earned tournament win”.  This year’s trip to Jefferson Cup marks the girls 4th appearance in the Final, and their First Championship.  This fourth visit was the ‘charm’ for the girls who have made it to the Final 3 consecutive years, only to lose in pk sessions each year.   The Jefferson Cup victory adds to their already successful season.  The team began the year Champions at the N.E.W.S.S. event, Champions at the Massappequa College Showcase, and were Finalists at the ESPN’s Disney Showcase event.  The team’s efforts over the past few months have catapulted them to #1 in the Nation.  For an exclusive soccerwire news interview from Jefferson Cup with Head Coach, Shaun Cryer, click here.

U15G NJ Stallions Dynamite & U14G NJ Stallion-BEC players Represent Region I at USYS Regional Tournament in Costa Rica!

98RegionITeamCostaRicaCasey Richards, Midfielder for the U15G NJ Stallions Dynamite, and Kelly Ann Livingstone, Midfielder for the U14G NJ Stallions-BEC Celtics performed extremely well at this year’s USYS Regional Tournament, held in Costa Rica as members of the USYSA REGION I Team.  The ODP Regional teams from all (4) regions competed against First Division Costa Rican teams, including the Costa Rican U17 National Team, over four days of matches in mid-February.  Casey and Kelly Ann are members of the New Jersey ’98 ODP State Team, and are also members of the ’98 Region I Team.  Over four matches against Saprissa, Arsenal, Alajuela, and the Costa Rica U17G National team, the REGION I team scored 11 goals, only giving up 4, finishing with 2 Wins, 1 Loss, and 1 Draw.  (Photo at left:  Kelly Ann chips ball to Casey Richards for a score)  Congratulations to Casey and Kelly Ann on their solid performance representing their state and their club.
