The NJ Stallions 94/95 Boys traveled to Baltimore for the 2013 Baltimore Mania Tournament competing in four matches notching two (2) shutout victories, one draw, and one loss finishing as Finalists in the to Premier I Division.  The games were highly competitive against top 10 state ranked teams from NYE, PAE, and NJ.  In games 1 and 2, the NJ Stallions scored 4 goals in two shutout wins against Hyde Park Lightning and FC Premier ’94.  Game 3 against Cherry Hill FC Phoenix ’94 was a seesaw match where both sides created chances only to end in a 1-1 draw with the #5 NJ Ranked team.  In the Final, the NJ Stallions boys were unable to convert their chances against the #3 Pennsylvania East ranked team, PA Classics Elite ’94, with the game ending 0-2.  Coach Lauretta said of his team, “They competed hard this weekend.  We had our opportunities in the Final.  The guys are playing great soccer right now, and we’re feeling our season will only get better.”

NJ STALLIONS U18 Boys Are Successful At PA CLASSICS COLLEGE SHOWCASE!

by Dominique Perez , December 13, 2012 | Edit

The NJ Stallions 94/95 Boys participated in the PA CLASSICS COLLEGE SHOWCASE, held in Lancaster, PA, December 1st and 2nd.  Due to SAT commitments, high school soccer commitments, and injuries to players, the U18 Boys were only able to field 10 players for their first game vs  FC PITTSBURGH.  After giving up an early goal, they rallied, scoring three (3) goals and winning the game 3-1.  Sunday’s games were against FC YORK and LEHIGH VALLEY.  After trailing by a goal in both games, they rebounded, won vs FC YORK by a score of 2-1, and then tied LEHIGH VALLEY, winning their bracket.  Coach Lauretta said of his boys, ” . . I was very impressed with how they executed with only 10 players in the first game against FC Pittsburgh.  It’s not easy playing a man down.  Everyone stepped up the whole weekend.  This was an excellent start to our season”.

NJ STALLIONS 94/95 BOYS FIND SUCCESS @ 2011 JEFFERSON CUP!!

At the 2011 Jefferson Cup in Richmond VA, the U16 NJ Stallions Boys finish with 2 wins and 1 loss at the top college showcase event of 2011. Over three games, against top quality boys’ teams from Ohio, New York and Massachussets, the U16 Stallions Boys were on top of their game, kicking off the Spring 2011 Club season in strong fashion.

Against Team Ohio FC Sparta, the Stallions boys earned a 3-0 shutout, followed by a 2-0 shutout win versus Quickstrike FC 95′s, and finally playing an evenly matched game in a loss against NEFC U16 Eagles, the #1 ranked U16 boys team from Massachussetts. Overall, Coach Kobie Johnson, was extremely pleased with the performances from all the players on the roster, including play from new faces to the team. “Our ball movement, possession play, and speed of play was excellent. Our new players showed well and stepped up. I was happy for Dylan, one of our new guys, who scored against his old team!”

Players of note include Mike Taranto, Greg Siefert, Nicky Hroncich, and Sebastian Siclari. New players also of note include, Lucas Rocha, Dylan Flanders and Kyler Raia. Coach Johnson said of the weekend in Virginia, “We were the stronger side in all the matches. In the third game against NEFC Eagles, it was evenly played effort wise, but I still feel we had the edge outplaying them in the technical department. We outshot them too, and even in the loss, the players played the game and earned themselves opportunities. It would have been nice to come out on top in that one, but in spite of the score, I was very happy with their play. It’s a great way to kickoff our spring.”

Next up for the Stallions U16s will be the Ironbound Event on March 19th/ 20th. Good luck boys!
